Shipping & Returns Policy
U.S. Domestic shipping

We offer free US domestic shipping for the whole Mimosa hostilis root bark chips. Our stock is held in a fulfillment center that processes and ships out the US orders for us. Orders are usually processed in 24h to 48h, but their processing time can go up to 3 business days in busy seasons.
We use either USPS or UPS to send the US orders to our customers.

International Shipping
We offer international shipping from Brazil with DHL Express, for our powdered and shredded Mimosa hostilis root barks. We ship to most of the world, with some exceptions.
If your country does not show up on the country list when checking out, it's because we don't ship to your country.
Please note that the transit times presented below are an estimate. Actual transit times depend on the courier or the postal system and can change depending on time of the year or other external circumstances.

Shipping Costs
​
Shipping costs are calculated during checkout based on weight, dimensions and destination of the items in the order. Exact shipping costs will be displayed along with the total for the order after you input your shipping information on the checkout page. Payment for shipping will be collected with the purchase.
Shipping costs and import fees are different things. The prices shown on the checkout page do not include import fees.

Dispatch Time
​
Orders are usually dispatched within 3 business days after payment. During high volume or holiday seasons we may take a few extra days to ship out your order, especially for the US domestic stock of whole MHRB chips due to the added logistics. We will let you know by email if any delay is to be expected for your order.
We operate on Monday - Friday during standard business hours, except on national holidays at which times we will be closed. In these instances, we take steps to ensure shipment delays will be kept to a minimum.

How do I check the status of my order?
​
When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available.
For the US domestic orders, we first create a shipping label, then the fulfillment center prepares the package for USPS or UPS to pick it up. The tracking may show as "Shipping label created" for a day or two, until the carrier stops by to pick up the packages in the fulfillment center.

Returns
​
The Dye Depot will happily accept returns due to change of mind as long as a request to return is received by us within 15 days of receipt of item and are returned to us in original packaging, unused and in resellable condition.

Return shipping will be paid at the customers expense and they will be required to arrange their own shipping.
Once returns are received and accepted, refunds will be processed to your original method of payment. We will notify you once this has been completed through email.
The Dye Depot will refund the value of the goods returned, but will NOT refund the value of any shipping paid.

Change Of Delivery Address
For change of delivery address requests, we are able to change the address at any time before the order has been dispatched in case of international orders.
For US domestic orders, when you get your tracking number it means the shipping label was already created, and you can't change the delivery address anymore.

Import Duties & Taxes
Import duties and taxes for international shipments may be liable to be paid upon arrival in the destination country.
This varies by country, and The Dye Depot encourage you to be aware of these potential costs before placing an order with us. All European countries charge import fees (VAT).

If you refuse to pay duties and taxes upon arrival at your destination country, the goods will be returned to The Dye Depot at the customer's expense. The customer will receive a refund for the value of goods paid, minus the cost of the return shipping. If the costs of return shipping exceeds the product value, there will be no refund at all.
The cost of the initial shipping will not be refunded as well.

Cancellations
If you change your mind before you have received your order, we are able to accept cancellations at any time before the order has been dispatched. If an order has already been dispatched, or if you already got your tracking number for US domestic orders, please refer to our return policy above.
Insurance
Parcels are insured for loss and damage up to the value as stated by the courier.
If a parcel is damaged or lost in-transit, please notify us as soon as possible so we can file a claim with the courier company.
We will process a refund or replacement as soon as the courier company has completed their investigation into the claim.
