  • Where do you ship from?
    We ship our Mimosa hostilis root bark from two locations: USA, and Brazil. The whole Mimosa bark chips are shipped from the US via USPS or UPS to better serve our North American customers. It can be shipped to all 50 states in the US. The powdered and shredded Mimosa root barks are shipped from Brazil via DHL, and can be shipped to the whole world (except restricted countries).
  • What payment methods do you accept?
    We take payments with credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and cryptocurrency. We accept debit/credit card payments from all major brands: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners, CUP, JCB and Maestro. For crypto, we accept all the major coins: BTC, ETH, USDT, XMR, LTC, etc. We can take payments in many more coins as well, some of them dirt cheap to transfer. Contact us and we'll find a solution!
  • How can i pay with Bitcoin?
    To pay with Bitcoin, proceed with the purchase as usual and select "Manual payment" when checking out. An instruction box will appear with a link to Blockonomics. Open the link in a new tab, and complete the purchase on The Dye Depot. You'll be redirected to the “thank you” page, where you'll find your order number and the exact value to be paid. Go to the Blockonomics tab you just opened, and enter the order number and the exact price of the goods, as shown in the “thank you” page. It will calculate the exact Bitcoin amount owed, and give you the wallet address. If you want to pay us with another coin, please email us, and we'll send you the wallet address.
  • Are there any shipping restrictions?
    Yes. We do not ship powdered and shredded Mimosa root bark to the US, Canada, Germany, Australia and New Zealand. We also don't ship powdered root bark to the UK, Ireland, and France. Only shredded root bark. We have whole Mimosa hostilis root bark chips available for US customers, shipped from within the US.
  • How do you ship the mimosa?
    The USA Domestic whole bark is shipped either by USPS or by UPS, depending on availability and shipping costs to your location. It can be shipped to any of the 50 states in the US. You will receive a very normal cardboard box with no mentions of our website, just the addressing information. The powdered and the shredded mimosa root bark are shipped with DHL to the rest of the world, with a few exceptions (see shipping restrictions above). We package the mimosa root bark in regular DHL envelopes or DHL boxes, and we include an instruction brochure teaching you how to dye and make soaps with mimosa hostilis.
  • What are the estimated transit times?
    Orders are usually dispatched within 3 business days after payment. We operate Monday to Friday during standard business hours, except on national holidays, at which times we will be closed. You will receive a shipment confirmation email with the tracking number as soon as it's available. For the USA domestic whole chips, the transit times vary from 3 to 8 business days according to location and shipping carrier used. We use a third party fulfillment service for the US stock, so sometimes there can be small delays to ship out the orders, especially during holidays or high demand seasons. For DHL shipments to the rest of the world, the transit times vary from 4 to 7 business days to Europe, and 5 to 10 business days to Asia and Africa.
  • Will i have to pay import fees?
    For DHL shipments, you may have to pay import fees depending on your countries laws. All shipments to Europe are usually charged VAT upon arrival. We encourage you to look up how import taxes work in your country, the information can usually be found on your local customs authority's website. If you are still unsure about import fees, you can always contact us. We have experience with most of the world's customs, and we always help our customers the best we can!
  • What if the package gets lost?
    We offer a full refund guarantee, so if your items gets damaged or lost during transportation, you are entitled to a full refund or a re-ship. If the package does not make it because you refused to pay import fees, you will not be entitled to a refund or a re-ship.
  • Can i return the mimosa if i want to?
    We're sure you'll love our mimosa hostilis, but if you want to return it for whichever reason, you can. You just have to return it within 14 days after delivery, unused and in its original packaging. Return shipping is at customer's expense, but we have return addresses in the US and in Europe so you don't have to ship it back to Brazil.
